So, One Piece: Stampede looks like it is in safe hands. The movie’s screenplay is handled by Atsuhuro Tomioka and Takashi Otsuka.

Interestingly, Takashi Otsuka is also going to direct the movie, which is a change from Film Z’s Tetsuya Nagamine, and Film Gold’s Hiroaki Miyamoto. Nagamine was recently involved in the superb delivery of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, so he would’ve been a great choice as well.

On the other hand, Takashi Otsuka is a great director as well, which you can see from his directed episodes of One Piece, such as One Piece Episode 616 which is considered to be one of the best One Piece episode, Episode 753, and the Luffy vs Sanji special episode.

He also directed One Piece: Episode of East Blue, which was praise worthy, to say the least. His work is quite enjoyable and seeing him at the helm is very interesting. Aside from that, the character designer and the Chief Animation Supervisor for the movie is going to be, you guessed it, Masayuki Sato.

He retains his roles from the last few One Piece movies. He does a great job, but I would’ve wanted Koudai Watanabe at this job personally. The art setting for the movie is handled by Nobuhito Sue, while Hotaka Okamoto is the Art Director.

With that, we move towards the spoilers for the movie, and there aren’t many available right now. We do have a teaser though, and it seems like it is going to be a very interesting movie. You can watch it here if you haven’t done so already.

One Piec: Stampede will premiere in Japan on 9 August 2019.
