The 100 has already been renewed for a sixth season after the success of the fifth season. The drama’s popularity has continued to rise with each season. The President of The CW Mark Pedowitz admitted that there are plans for a possible seventh season. While speaking at the Winter Television Critics Association press tour earlier this year, he said: “He [Executive producer Jason Rothernberg] may have a six or seven-year plan to it. I don’t know if I’m allowed even to say that, that he has a plan beyond year five, but he does.”

The executive producer Jason Rothenberg said that he had planned a new adventure for the future of the show. He said that he already an endpoint in point and now that the point has been reached, they can use to create a whole new story. The series is based on the novels of the same name by Kass Morgan.

The show has finally revealed a confirmed update, which is not too far. The sixth season will start airing on 30 April 2019. Therefore, we are roughly a month away from seeing the epic show, and we are waiting for it anxiously.
