Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump welcomed Dr. Stone into the family recently, and it didn’t take much longer for the fans to realize its greatness and potential which the reason why the manga has been doing extremely well given the fact that it took off only recently.
Things have been going pretty well as the manga has also got a green light for its anime adaptation, and it will soon join the club of recently added mangas adapted to anime which includes the likes of The Promised Neverland, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and We Never Learn: BOKUBEN.
The month of release was already revealed, however, the exact date wasn’t mentioned, but, thankfully, Shueisha unveiled the official update of the show. According to the latest issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, Dr. Stone will premiere on 5th July in Japan, and luckily for fans, Crunchyroll has acquired the license as well.

Shinya Iino will be in charge of the direction of the series while Yuichiro Kido will be working on the scripts.
Dr. Stone Plot:
The plot follows Senku Ishigami, a highly intelligent boy who loves science awakens at an era where the entire humanity is turned into stone by some unknown phenomena. After seeing the horrific aftermath of the phenomena, Senku vows to use the power of science to reconstruct the world. However, Senku is not alone in this journey as he will have the aid of his childhood friend, Taiju Oki, a crazy strong fellow awakened at the same time. They’ll both work together in order for the better of the world, will they be able to do it? Tune in to find out.
