Power Book II: Ghost is around the corner, and it’s time we round up all the information we have on the upcoming spin-off. The original show kicked-off with an explosive first season, and so far, it released a total of 6 seasons. With the new spin-off show, the creators hope to follow up the excitement and give fans an even more thrilling story than before. According to the updates, Power Book II: Ghost will be set in New York and it picks up 48 hours after the final events of Power Season 6, and it will follow Tariq St Patrick in his new life, as he will do anything to shed his father’s legacy and do what needs to be done to save his family.
In a recent interview with DigitalSpy, Michael Rainey Jr revealed that Tariq has a lot of new responsibilities on his shoulders, and he is a lot smarter, and with his ‘Ghost mentality,’ he will do anything necessary to look after the family. Also, his co-star Naturi Naughton added that the spin-off would have a lot more ‘brutal murders’ and big changes for the characters. She said that Tariq would have to be the boss of his own right, however, he still has to learn to navigate the new changes and struggles that have come up in his life.
Earlier, Courtney Kemp revealed that the spin-off would continue to explore the stories of some of the most controversial characters of the show, and the overall tone of part 2 will be a lot similar to Power in terms of ‘criminality, sex, the legacy system, and romance.’
