After Life Season 2 is a comedy-drama television series created, written, produced, and directed by Ricky Gervais. The series was initially planned to reach the various regions of a different part of the countries around the globe through online video streaming platform, Netflix. Series has successfully completed the second season consisting of a total of 12 episodes. It was one of the most expected seasons of this year. The series has received positive feedback from the entertainment critics. Series flows a black comedy genre.

Ricky Gervais has revealed in one of the press releases that he wrote After Life Season 2 to display people, and there is no way to ‘snap back’ from the depression of sorrow. There is much expectation of the second season of this series. The first season has created a loyal fan based for the series. After Life season 2 released on April 24, 2020, has received a warm welcome from the entertainment community.

The second season of the serious follows with the comedy-drama where Tony (Gervais) and his struggles to continues his life after his wife Lisa (Kerry Godliman) dies. The second season of the series once again makes everyone think about their loved one and their happy days together. It has delivered a strong message that death is inevitable, and everyone has to accept it. Missing the loved once is so hard that it affects mentally and physically in everyday routine.

Tony becomes a different man after losing her, and he faces new things every day. Tony often feels lonely and depressed. He also made his mind to commit suicide, somehow saved by their colleagues and relatives. Tony was a happy and caring person before the death of his wife. He uses this opportunity to do what he wishes and involves in miscellaneous activities that end in a dramatic way. After struggling to be kind to the fellow humans, he finds so hard being nice with them. Matt one of his friend struggling hard with his love life explains his situation with Tony.

They both console and share things with each other. As there is a saying the ‘sharing can save you’, Tony feel quite good while being around with Matt. They both one day came to know that meditation will help them in providing them with peace of mind. Tony and Matt finally decide to attend the Zen meditation class. They find themself in a large group of people attending the medication class. They involve mediation activities in the class under the guidance of a professional trainer. Tony gets quite determined after attending the mediation class. They both share their experience with each other about the meditation class. Initially Tony was working as a misanthropic newspaper journalist.

He was living a perfect life with his wife and day to day life. Soon after he gets sick Tony feels quite disturbed and becomes a different human. After a long struggle, Lisa dies of breast cancer. Tony finds hard to cope up with the tragic and unexpected death of his wife, Lisa. Tony makes his mindset to punish the surrounding by expressing and doing as his own wish without concerning about anything else.

He often ends in doing something dramatic which makes everyone think why Tony has become a rude and different person. He assumes that he has acquired some kind of the superpower and he can do whatever he wishes to do. His friends and family members try hard to keep alive the nice person within Tony, which he was earlier.

Earlier it was said that there will be a slight delay in the release date of After Life season 2, but it was released as planned. After Life Season has left with a strong message on the suffering faced after the demise of the truly loved person, Tony spends most of the time thinking about his wife, Lisa. Tony struggles hard to catch up with his working schedule and behaves rudely with everyone. Tony tries his best to save Matt from his girlfriend, where they both had a serious problem due to the difference of opinion.

Tony behaves as a responsible person in sorting out the issue between Matt and his girlfriend. The story takes place in a fictional town where Tony has many friends and well-wishers, he was working for a free local newspaper, Tambury Gazette. In the entire series Tony faces up’s and down’s as he tries to move on with his life. in one of the episodes in the second season, Toney faces another great loss which makes him depressed once again. This time his father Ray passed away, after having two serious losses Tony breaks down and feels nothing is permanent in his life. Ray was diagnosed with dementia and was living under the supervision of a care home.
