Boruto Chapter 33 marked the end to a huge ongoing fight in the series between Naruto Uzumaki and Delta, and it was definitely something to savor. It is clear that Ikemoto is improving as he continues his mangaka adventures, and there are flaws that he needs to address over the course of time.
But, since he is improving, I’m not too worried. The biggest thing that bothers me about Boruto right now is the weird paneling of the chapter. I think 40 pages can fit so much more than just what we see, and that’s going to say that Ikemoto wastes too much space.
His illustrations are also a bit weird in the sense that he doesn’t go for a double-spread when needed to and the drawing just comes off looking weird. The combat that he drew in chapter 33 was cool, but if you compare it to chapter 32, there are too many similarities. These are just my thoughts on the previous chapter. Overall, I still enjoyed it. Naruto greatness is always appreciated. Let’s just go forward and discuss chapter 34 of the manga now.
Boruto Chapter 33’s end signaled the end of this arc in the final text. I think the next chapter will be a buffer chapter. First, we’ll see Kashin Koji at Konoha and seeing what happened; I think he’ll decide to head back to Jigen and report what just happened over risking his life and taking Kawaki. Jigen will likely react to this news in a morbid fashion, and I think the new arc will showcase a villain from Kara for Boruto Uzumaki and co.
We didn’t focus much on Sarada and Mitsuki in the preview arc. However, I do think that the new one will have a lot of focus on them. Kawaki needs to be adjusted somewhere in the middle too, and maybe he just stays with Naruto most of the time. I think a mission arc or something more interesting like a visit to some village would be awesome to see.
We’ll likely see what’s coming up towards the end of the next chapter though. I’m pretty sure the next chapter will mostly talk to Naruto, Boruto, Kawaki. We may even see the threat of Kara being discussed. That’s all there is that we know for now.
The official release date for Boruto chapter 34 is 22nd April 2019. Scans will be out by 19 April 2019.
