Toy Story 4 released on 21st June and, so far, Disney Pixar’s film is doing pretty well in the box-office. According to the latest reports, the opening earnings of the animated film is calculated to be around $600 million, and despite being a little ‘soft,’ for Disney’s standards, it is predicted that the film would earn much more in the upcoming day, and the total would mount up to a respectable amount.

Till now, Disney hasn’t said any word on Toy Story 5, and there are no discussions going on currently, however, the Toy Story franchise is one of the most successful and profitable franchises of Disney and all of the installments in the Toy Story franchise has collected a combined amount of over $1.9 billion, so Disney would surely want to keep it alive.
Now, in a recent interview with the US Weekly, Tim Allen revealed that he expects the story to conclude with part 4. However, that doesn’t mean the end of the franchise. He compares it with the Avengers franchise and hints at future spin-offs. He said that it would be ‘difficult’ not to continue the franchise anymore.
There is already a spin-off series planned which is titled, ‘Forky Asks a Question,’ and it will be released on Disney+ streaming service on 12th November.
So, everything depends on Disney and if they give the project the green light, then expect Toy Story 5 to come out in 2020 or 2021.
