The Good Girls has finally found someone on board for Season 3. We’ve learned that young comedian-actress Charlyne Yi is cast for Season 3 of the show.
Charlyne Yi’s work profile is quite diverse, she’s not only an actress and a comedian but a writer as well. She joins the NBC dramedy ‘The Good Girls’ season 3 as a new “good” girl. Charlyne will play a key role in Beth, Ruby and Annie’s counterfeit money scheme. Additional TV credits for Yi include guest stints on Love, Twin Peaks: The Return, Jane the Virgin and voice work on shows such as Steven Universe.
The casting piece of casting news comes just in time, after The Peacock net officially declared that it would be increasing Good Girls‘ third season by three episodes. Total number of episodes in The Good Girl season 3 comes to 16.
So far, Yi’s best includes House‘s Dr. Park, will recur Lucy – an artist with quirks, she possesses mildly impaired social skills. She will be manipulated by the trio, to help them with their criminal enterprise. Charlyne Yi is all geared to make her first appearance in Season 3, Episode 1. The Good Girls is slated to air midseason.
For quite some time we knew someone new would join the cast as by the end of Season 2, Lucy’s arrival was foreshadowed. It was then that Beth had spoken of someone she knew, who could be a help. She knew someone who could assist the trio with their faux cash gambit. Annie, Beth, and Ruby will need and seek out the expertise of a graphic designer, our sources tell us. That particular someone is a suburban mom, with a questionable background and with absolutely no interest in being a ‘good’ girl.
Yi had previously also starred in Love, Twin Peaks: The Return, Jane the Virgin and voiced on shows such as Steven Universe.
