Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 4 February 2019. The game is still going story to this day and there some details revealed about the game’s future during the financial earnings call.
During the financial earnings call that occurred recently, publisher CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed that their game Paex Legends will be coming to new platforms. This happened mostly because of Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play battle royale game’s impressive growth since its launch. The game released back in early 2019 and it is a spin-off of Respawn’s Titanfall series. But instead of the amazing combat robots, the game is a battle game in which you can choose Legends instead of the giant robots.
This game is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One at the moment. In May of 2019, it was announced that Apex Legends would make its way to Mobile (iOS and Android). The successors to Sony’s PS4 and Xbox One, PS5 and Microsoft’s Scarlett respectively are going to be released in Fall 2020. This means that it will also be coming to other consoles as the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Furthermore, along with Apex Legends, the upcoming Battlefield game will be published by EA during the fiscal year of 2022, which was also revealed during the earnings call.
Apex Legends is one of the best games that EA has published this year. It is EA’s one of the more popular games as it reached up to 70 million registered players. Also, during this financial earnings call, Blake Jorgensen said that Apex Legends would become one of their vital online games going forward. There is more content coming to the game every time and the most recent update added a new character, weapons, and maps in its first year alone. Apex Legends will also launch on new platforms during the 2021 fiscal year.
