Avengers: Endgame Writers Reveals Why Thor Was Not Killed Off
The almighty Thor
With the introduction of so many superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the love of the fans has also increased towards each of these superheroes. When it comes to deaths of those heroes whom we treasure so much, it is nothing less than a shock. The memories of Iron man, black widow, and Captain America could not fade with their deaths.
The remaining superheroes are a sign of hope
However, according to Avengers: Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, some superheroes have been left as a sign of hope like Thor, Hulk, and Hawkeye. According to Markus, it is not fair to kill Thor after the tremendous sacrifices and loses faced by him. The impact of the loss in Avengers: Infinity Wars was huge on Thor. From having the best physique, he became a fat joe.
There was news that Captain America would say “Avengers Assemble,” and Thor would turn fit from fat, but fortunately, we get to see a more logical outcome. The way Thor has been portrayed as a broken superhero who ruins his own physique moves the audience and is unique in many ways.
The downfall of Thor
Not many movies portray such a huge downfall of any superhero in which he has almost given up and turned into a drunkard, as people would do in real life. It influences the audience and for those who love Thor, will be expecting a great comeback of the superhero not only in better shape but stronger character.
It creates huge excitement about what kind of Thor we will see in the upcoming movie, Thor: Love and Thunder. The director is still discussing the time period that should be kept between Endgame and the new movie.
However, the confirmation has been made that we will get to see Tessa Thomson’s Valkyrie and Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, the latter of whom will come back and play The Mighty Thor.
