Golden Kamuy Season 3 Episode 33 Preview

From the previous episode of Golden Kamuy, Kironke told Asripa about a woman named Sofia who knew Wilk well. Asripa said she wants to meet her after hearing that she was a leader of Asripa’s father and she was brave. Kironke reveals that Sofia is at Aleksandrovsk-Sahkalinsky known as Ako. Ako is a prison that holds 1700 prisoners and males had half their hair cut. They were primarily forced to do hard labor in mining and construction.

Those who escape will be brought back and whipped and those who try more than once will be tied to a wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow stays with them even when they eat and sleep. Sofia committed crimes to fund Kironke and Wilk’s activities. She was given the name Golden Hand at court. Meanwhile, at Abashiri, Usami and Tsurumi are talking about the history of codebreaking. Tsurumi reveals that the history of codebreaking has also been the history of codebreakers being sent to mental hospitals.

Tsurumi reveals that the obsessive desire to break codes makes them unable to function in daily life. Tsurumi said he has decided that until they had a certain amount of the skins, they shouldn’t even start. Usami asks Tsurimi if they can kidnap someone from the army. Tsurumi said no telling that it is hard to believe Wilk will use the kind of complex code that would require a professional cryptographer. Wilk makes made it something that his daughter Asripa can decrypt.

Sugimoto remembers how Asripa was able to draw Gansuku’s tattoo and breaking codes. Koto asks Sugimoto what is wrong and why he keeps starring at Gansuku’s tattoo. Meanwhile, at Kushiro, Hijikata is carrying a piece of something. He asks the ladies to tell him what is it.

The lady replies that it is some kind of claw or part of a plant later Hijikata told an old man that it was hidden inside the Abashiri Prison. Hijikata reveals that according to Inudou one of the tattoed prisoners Doi Shinzo had it on him. Doi Shinzo was capture on the coast of Kushiro eight years ago and imprisoned. Hajikata this that piece he is carrying it might lead them to Doi. Later Yoichiro the Manslayer kill a group of the gang that wanted to kill him.

He escapes saying that lots of people want to kill him and he heads to the mountain. There he met with a Samurai Hajikata that challenges him and take his life. Later Asripa and the crew enjoy eating Hinna and Koshiro asks Kiro how long are they staying in Ako. Kiro replies that a little longer and Kishiro said that they are not going to visit the prisoner in Ako. Kiro reveals that if they help Sofia escape the guards will follow them. He said to avoid that they will help all 250 prisoners to escape so that the guards won’t be able to focus on Sofia.
