Glass is an upcoming M Night Shyamalan movie that deals with horror and superheroes. Glass is supposed to be a sequel to “Unbreakable” that release in 2000, followed by “Split” in 2016. The movie boasts of a stellar cast, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and James McAvoy. The trailer for Glass was released at the SDCC by M Night Shyamalan himself. Exciting his movie, Shyamalan has told movie watchers to expect world-class performances from those in Glass. So far we have been blessed with four trailers of the movie “Glass.” Here watch one of the trailers below:
As you can see, three main characters who believe they are superheroes receive psychiatric treatment. Willis plays a security guard who has special abilities, James McAvoy’s character has multiple personality syndrome, whereas Jackson’s Glass is actually named Elijah. He is a comic book fan with a dark secret.
M Night has specifically said no to any sequels for Glass, the movie and that he wouldn’t be interested in turning his superheroes into a cinematic universe. It did take M Night 18 years to finish his story with three different movies. Glass will end the superhero journey of M Night and hope for better.
Though his first movie “Unbreakable” was a dull dud both at the box office and in the eyes of the critics, the split which opened in 2016 was a profitable venture for Universal Pictures, bagging $278 million worldwide. The success of “Split” gave enough room to M Night to be able to finish the third in line, Glass. It focuses more on Samuel L. Jackson’s title character.
Amongst the new cast members, Sarah Paulson is cast as Dr. Staple. Bruce Willis is cast as David Dunn, Samuel. L Jackson as Mr. Glass and James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb.
Glass opens in theaters across the US on January 18, 2019. In the UK, Glass opens nationwide on January 18, 2019, too. As for the release of the movie “Glass” in Australia, it opens there on a day ahead on January 17, 2018.
