The American crime drama series Godfather of Harlem Season 2 is around the corner, and fans are getting too excited to see what Bumpy has in store for the new season. It was the latest addition to Epix’s original shows list, and the overwhelming response from the fans ensured its run beyond season 1.
The overall cost has been a perfect fit, and after the explosive finale of season 1, we expect to get a more intense and action-filled story. The mob community is in distress, and Kennedy’s assassination created ripples across the nation, so things are about to get real ugly in season 2. Here are all the important updates we know so far.

Godfather of Harlem is inspired by Bumpy Johnson’s true story. Johnson, an infamous crime boss who gained notoriety during his days, due to which he eventually landed in prison. Although he was sent to jail, he never got out of his character, as returning after ten years, his first objective was to regain his neighborhood’s control. However, things have changed a lot since his early days, and with a new leader ruling the streets, Bumpy needs to take down the Genovese family to get what rightfully belonged to him. The story closely follows Bumpy’s life, hurdles, and influential alliance with Malcolm X for an unmerciful clash that will change the course of the streets forever.
After the finale of season 1, we know that an imminent clash between Bumpy and the Genovese family is on the cards. The Genevese family summoned Bumpy to give him an ultimatum. To add to his misery, Chin Gigante hired a hitman to put him out of action, but luckily, Bumpy spilled water on their plans and managed to make it to season 2. After Kennedy’s assassination, tension rose between the mob community, and season 2 will dive deep into its repercussions.
The creator, Chris Brancato, also revealed to Variety that their objective through the show is to explore the significant ‘social problems in the early 60s, which includes collision of crime, gang warfare, drug addiction, police brutality, and other issues regarding civil rights.’
The cast for Godfather of Harlem Season 2 includes Forest Whitaker (Bumpy Johnson), Luis Guzman (Alejandro ‘El Guapo’ Villabuena), Nigél Thatch (Malcolm X), Ilfenesh Hadera (Mayme Johnson), Antoinette Crowe-Legacy (Elise Johnson), Erik LaRay Harvey (Del Chance), Elvis Nolasco (Nat Pettigrew), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Teddy Greene)
