The online multiplayer-shooter game from EA, Titanfall has been extremely popular, and fans of the franchise have been waiting for a third sequel for quite a long time. The second installment, Titanfall 2 was officially released in October 2016, and it has been over 3 years that we heard anything about Titanfall 3, so what is EA up to these days?
Titanfall 3: Will it happen?
Well, Titanfan fans will be disappointed to know that the third installment is not coming anytime soon, even if the project gets a green signal sometime in the future. As of now, it has been officially confirmed by the EA creators that Titanfall 3 is not in development for the current, future generation consoles, or any other platforms.
According to Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella, there are no plans to revive the series as of now, and fans can live its spirit through ‘Apex Legends, however, he also adds that he would want to see it happening in the future, so he is not completely ruling out the possibility, and that could be the ray of hope for Titanfall fans.
He revealed that their current focus is Apex Legends and how to make the game more entertaining to increase its player base and serve them better, and with the game going strong, it a no-brainer to halt production on Titanfall for the time being. There have been few rumors which hinted that the new studio DICE LA would take over the project, however, Vince Zampella ruled out those possibilities as well.
Vince Zampella revealed that just because the studio comprises of some high ‘shooter talent,’ he doesn’t want to cap their potential and they are focusing on all aspects to pick that one thing that’s amazing in the market. What they follow at Respawn, will be followed in the new studio as well, and they will look forward to going lit beyond and the traditional ways and make something amazing after breaking the genre.
Moreover, Zampa also hints some cool announcements at the upcoming EA Play, which will be happening in June 2020.
