David Twohy’s 2000 film called Pitch Black introduced us to Vin Diesel as an action star as well as to one of the iconic roles in movies which is none other than the role of monster-killer Richard B. Riddick in 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick and in the most recent one which Riddick which released in 2013. Moreover, when the script’s cover was shown on Camera, it featured a quote that could give us some insight into the film: “Everyone wants to be a beast until it’s time to do what real beasts do.” This is the first major news that we got on the Riddick franchise since November of 2015. Which was when Twohy was teasing his intentions of writing the fourth film, though also touted plans for a television spinoff series focused on the mercenary characters featured in 2013 sequel Riddick.

The TV show gained some moment and was propelled by Diesel himself in late 2016, but ultimately bore no fruit. Whatever the cast, I am excited to hear this news and I am sure fans are as well.
