The mini Hashirama cells arc seems to be reaching its peak as now team 7 has defeated the last obstacle on their way to catch up with the things running away with the cells. The anime is still consistent with its usual style of introducing mysterious individuals who seem to be so powerful and heartless. This comes after Deepa easily defeats Hidden Cloud shinobi and brutally killed two of them. But now he seems to be heading straight to the land of silence where team 7 is headed.
Well, they are likely to cross their paths with Deepa somewhere on their journey as they are all after the cells. What still remains a mystery is where does Deepa comes from and what he wants to do to do with the cells once he gets them. For now, he seems to be a lone wolf. Unless he could be from an organization of very powerful people such that only he would be enough to retrieve the cells.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 166 will be released on Sunday, 20 September 2020 at 5:30 PM JST. As usual, you will be able to catch your latest episodes on Crunchyroll at the same time they are broadcasted on Japanese local channels. The upcoming episodes of the anime will then show us how the pursuit of the Hashirama cells would turn out to be.

Wether team 7 will still catch up to the culprits or if this would turn into something else. Well, I believe this wouldn’t be the end of Deepa’s story so we are more likely to see him more often in the upcoming episodes. TV Tokyo has already released the preview and the title for the episodes. And if you wouldn’t mind spoilers then it is okay to proceed. Otherwise, this will only be ruining your entire anime experience.

The episode is titled “A Battle to the death” and its synopsis is as follows:
Boruto and his comrades wanted to catch up to Asaka who was getting away with the Hashirma cells just before they encountered a belligerent and mysterious man named Deepa. They managed to arrive at his location after some struggling. But to their surprise, Deepa had arrived a little earlier than they did.
As a fight broke off between team 7 and Deepa, they were surprised to see that none of their attacks have an effect on him. Another man named Victor, who is revealed as the president of a medical treatment manufacturing facility then appeared for some reason.
That’s all of the updates we have for now. We will get to see more from this when the preview for the episode is released. The next episode of the anime will be broadcasted this weekend so hopefully, we will get more developments towards this end.
