Uyare Movie: Parvathy Plays An Acid Attack Survivor
The horrors of acid attacks are finding a place in the list of 2019 movies, amongst which Uyare leads the list now. Uyare is a 2019 Malayalam movie, that is directed by Manu Ashokan. Uyare is written by Bobby Sanjay scripted by and produced by the three sisters who are daughters of producer P.V. Gangadharan, namely Shenuga, Shegna, and Sherga.
Uyare boasts of a power-packed star cast, and it is lead by Parvathy. The film solely belongs to her. Other actors in the lead role are Asif Ali and Tovino Thomas. Gopi Sundar has given music for Uyare, and Mukesh Muraleedharan gives the cinematography. Uyare is roughly 2 hours long; it opened in cinemas on April 26, 2019. Uyare is distributed by Kalpaka films, Indywood Distribution Network(IDN).
The plot of Uyare is centered around a girl named Pallavi (played by Parvathy); she wants to be a pilot. Pallavi is an ambitious girl who since her childhood wanted to be a pilot. Pallavi is trying to balance her professional as well as personal life. She’s dealing with an abusive partner Govind (Asif Ali) at the same time, who wants to dictate every aspect of her life. Soon her dreams come crashing down as she becomes a victim of an acid attack.
The makeup team of the movie Zubi Johal and Rajeev Subba has done a fantastic job with Pallavi’s prosthetics makeup. The portrayal of Pallavi stands out more than anything; the story becomes predictable at a certain point though. Vishal’s (Tovino Thomas) entry in the movie is a breath of fresh air; he is the son of a private airline owner. Uyare soars on Parvathy and solely rests on her.
