About the Pretty Cure All-Stars Film Series
Pretty Cure All Stars, often referred to as Precure All Stars, is a series of Japanese anime films created by Toei Animation. These movies are crossovers, bringing together beloved characters from various Pretty Cure anime series.
With a total of 14 main films in the series as of September 2023, each All-Stars movie is closely tied to the release of a new Pretty Cure anime series.
The most recent Pretty Cure team takes center stage in the film’s plot, and there’s always a fun running gag where they accidentally bump into older Pretty Cure teams. All the fairies from different Pretty Cure teams are portrayed as friends.
One unique feature of these movies is the use of Miracle Lights, small flashlights distributed to the audience during screenings. Viewers are to wave these lights in support of the Cures as they face off against the main antagonist. Plus, the films include a segment teaching children how to use their Lights safely.
Beyond the screen, Pretty Cure is the queen of a variety of merchandise and collaborations. From toys to clothing lines to collectibles, the franchise has given fans several ways to experience this anime. Video games take players into action, allowing them to join their beloved Pretty Cure characters and save the world themselves.
A decade later, Pretty Cure stands strong with its loyal fanbase and consistent franchise installments.
