Digimon Survive is a survival strategy role-playing video game. The game has been developed by Witchcraft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game was announced to celebrate the twenty years Digimon. Digimon Survive will commemorate the occasion. The game was announced in the July 2018 issue of Japanese V Jump.
It was confirmed that the game would be coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The western version was announced by Bandai on YouTube. The trailer revealed that Xbox One and Steam were also included in the platforms.
There is no exact release date for the game as of now. But, we do know that it will come out sometime in 2019. We are halfway through the year, and we still haven’t got an exact release date.
The players will travel through the new world as Takuma. Takuma is a teenage boy who becomes stranded after venturing. Takuma has an acquaintance in Agumon, who is a reptile Digimon. Takuma attempts to get away from the alternate dimension. It won’t be an easy ride qs the new world is plagued with death and destruction. The players need to fight against the odds to ensure their survival.
The recent Digimon games such as Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (it is available on PlayStation 4/Vita) are turn-based RPGs. However, Digimon Survive is like the older strategy based RPGs like Fire Emblem.
