Brooklyn Nine-Nine was saved at the final hour after Fox had canceled the series. But, the series was saved by NBC which picked it up for its sixth, and seventh seasons. The cancellation of the show came as a huge shock to the fans because Brooklyn Nine-Nine is actually a great show.

The show has been created by Michael Schur and Dan Goor. The show stars Andy Samberg as Brooklyn detective Jake Peralta. There is a deal of support cast as well which includes the likes of Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, and Andre Braugher. The sixth season of the show did pretty well. It averaged 3.9 million total viewers.

The staff at NBC has been deeply impressed by the show. All of them have pointed out how great the show has been doing for them. “Cheers to Dan Goor, Mike Schur, Luke Del Tredici, and David Miner, and our amazing cast and crew who each week turn New York’s finest into New York’s funniest.”

The seventh season will follow the same pattern as season 6. It will premiere midseason on NBC. There is no confirmed release date of the show. If we take a look at the release of the sixth season, it was released on January 10, 2019. We are expecting the seventh season to be released around the same time in 2020.

Back in May, it was revealed that season 7 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will have a total of 13 episodes. It does seem that it will be a short season but, NBC actually extended the number of episodes for the sixth season up to 18 episodes. Back when the show was airing on Fox, each season would have around 22-23 episodes. It would seem that the seventh will definitely get an increase in the number of episodes.
