Miyatsuki is known for his work on “Impossibility Defense,” and he teams up with Kentarō Satō, the artistic mind behind “Magical Girl Site,” for an upcoming spine-chilling manga.

About Our Summer was Torn Apart’s Author & Artist
Born on December 1, 1986, in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, Kentarō Satō kickstarted his creative journey in 2008 with the release of his short story “Kui King Omega,” featured in the pages of Akamaru Jump (Shueisha). Satou’s commitment to his readers also shines through his active online presence.
Engaging frequently on platforms like Twitter, he enjoys sharing sketches, addressing fan inquiries, and even fulfilling requests. He also takes part in the famous Comiket, where he directly offers his original works to fans.
Kentarō Satō, the creative mind behind the bone-chilling Magical Girl Site horror manga, kickstarted this hair-raising journey on the Champion Tap! manga website in July 2013. The eerie manga later found its home in the Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in September 2017, until its conclusion in 2019 spanning 16 manga volumes.
Thanks to Seven Seas Entertainment, intentional fans also got to experience Magical Girl Site. The series also got an anime adaptation, which premiered in April 2018, concluded in June 2018, and is available to Amazon Prime Video viewers worldwide. Satō’s latest creation, Fushi to Batsu (Immortality and Punishment), began in November 2021 in Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine. The manga’s fourth volume hit shelves on July 6.
Arata Miyatsuki and Ochau brought their suspenseful manga “Castration: Rebirth (Kyosei Tensei)” to an end on January 27. The duo kickstarted Castration: Rebirth in September 2019 on Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero magazine, later shifting to Young Animal in February 2020.
Over time, this led to the publication of its third manga volume in June 2021, followed by the fourth and fifth volumes in digital form in February and October 2022, respectively. The story reached its climax with the digital release of the sixth and final volume on April 28.
Miyatsuki, alongside Yūya Kanzaki, previously launched the “Funōhan (Impossibility Defense)” manga, which was published in Shueisha’s Grand Jump magazine from 2013 until its conclusion in November 2020. This intriguing manga also inspired a live-action film adaptation in February 2018 and a four-episode mini-series adaptation, premiering on dTV in December 2017.
The author and artist have impressive resumes, especially in the horror genre, so we have high expectations from the upcoming “Our Summer was Torn Apart” manga. Though details about the plot remain unknown, we’re sure each page will have us scared of our own shadow.
