Universal Pictures is gearing up for a blockbuster year in 2022. They’ve had a lot of success, from Jurassic World: Dominion to Minions: The Rise of Gru to Nope. One of the most awaited films released in the upcoming year is Cocaine Bear, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, M3GAN, and Fast X.

A whopping 99 percent of the 5,000 website users polled said they were ready to see more movies in theatres in 2023. The results are separated into several genres, including blockbusters, action-adventure films, family films, and others.

Fandango Managing Director Erik Davis said in a statement that with over a hundred big movies on the way, fans are delighted to see films back on the big screen where they belong.

He continued that the new year promises a significant rise in the number of movies that people want to see in theatres, from restoring franchises like Indiana Jones, Creed, Hunger Games, and Mission Impossible, to eagerly awaited re-imaginings such as The Little Mermaid and Haunted Mansion, to off-the-wall entertainment like Cocaine Bear and M3GAN. The year 2023 features one of the most exciting film lineups in decades.

If the box office year of 2022 was a perplexing thrill ride of ups and downs, slow durations accompanied by a banquet of wealth and about 40 fewer wide-release movies than in 2019, then brace yourself because 2023 looks to be a murderer year for cinemas, according to Paul Dergarabedian, the Senior Media Analyst at Comscore.

There are many films to be enthusiastic about, and moviegoers are excited about the wonderfully diverse roster of films on the release schedule. With more films getting produced more routinely, this is a model for what may be a tremendous year for movie theatres and moviegoers worldwide.
