CR V hybrid is the first electrified crossover from the European market that was introduced at the Paris motor show. This is the powertrain option that Honda has to offer on the continent. It promises decent performance with an excellent economy which is because of its combination of a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine and two electric motors. The North American version will be nearly similar in specs as well as in looks to the one revealed in Paris. The exterior of the CRV hybrid looks like a modern small SUV, but it is a bit different when compared to its rivals.
The most notable thing about design is the massive rear light clusters which not only extend up the C-pillar but is towards the back part of the side glass and onto the rear hatch. On the other hand, the interior has dials and EV mode button on the center console which is below the infotainment screen and climate controls.
The engine of Honda CR-V hybrid has a 2.0-liter, Atkinson-cycle, naturally-aspirated, four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a combined power output of 181 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque (315 Nm). It has three driving modes which are, Engine Drive, Hybrid Drive, and EV Drive.
This car has more rigidity over previous CR V and also a lower center of gravity. This makes the car look more sporty and increases the stability of driving. The price of CR V hybrid hasn’t been announced, but other variants are already available which starts from $24,250. I think the hybrid variant will have a price of $30,000 and it will release in the US in the year 2020.
