The official website for the anime adaptation of Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa’s manga, “The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You,” released new character promotional videos for Karane Inda and Shizuka Yoshimoto on July 20 and July 31, along with fresh character visuals. The much-awaited anime is set to debut on October 8, airing on Tokyo MX and other stations.
This romantic and comedic piece has gained immense attention and adoration from manga enthusiasts since its debut. As the story unfolds, it mixes in a bowl a flood of emotions, humor, and unexpected twists, to give us a satisfactory meal.

All About ‘The 100 Girlfriends’
Hikaru Sato takes the director’s chair for the anime adaptation of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, which is produced by Bibury Animation Studio. Takashi Aoshima handles series composition, Akane Yano is in charge of character design, and Shuhei Mutsuki, Shunsuke Takizawa, and Eba compose the music, with Lantis producing it.

The cast of the anime includes Wataru Katō voicing Rentaro Aijo, Kaede Hondo voicing Hakari Hanazono, and Miyu Tomita voicing Karane Inda. The new cast includes Maria Naganawa voicing Shizuka Yoshimoto, Asami Seto voicing Nano Eiai, Ayaka Asai voicing Kusuri Yakuzen, and Shigeru Chiba as God (Kami-sama).
The manga, penned by Rikito Nakamura and illustrated by Yukiko Nozawa, debuted in 2019 with its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. With 13 volumes released as of March 2023 and an English edition published by Seven Seas Entertainment, we’re ready to immerse ourselves in the romantic adventures of Aijo Rentaro and his overwhelming harem of devoted girlfriends.
The Plot
Meet Aijo Rentaro, a guy who had no luck in his romantic life. Rejected by a hundred girls, he’s on his last straw. When he goes to a shrine to pray for a girlfriend, God tells him a cosmic error caused him to get rejected by all the women he asked out.
To make up for the error, God grants Aijo one hundred dates, but the catch? If he doesn’t reciprocate their feelings, “they’ll die in horrible accidents.” Cue the downpour of confessions as girls pour their hearts out to Aijo.
What’s the issue? He can’t choose between the girls and certainly doesn’t want anyone to die! As lightning strikes with every potential soulmate, Aijo wonders: can one person truly love a hundred others?
