Angeline’s love for her father fuels her aspiration to carry on his legacy, leading to her departure from the bustling metropolis. Over years of battles, she scales the ranks, ultimately reaching the legendary stature of an S-Rank adventurer and is known as the Black-Haired Valkyrie.
But this status has its share of trials, leaving her breathless amidst constant battles with formidable foes. Can Ange overcome successive calamities and at last, reunite with her cherished father?
In the genre of father-daughter narratives, this story stands out with its heartwarming focus on their relationship, without any romantic interests. The daughter’s genuine yearning for her father stands is an uncommon trope, and her resolute stance against potential romantic interests puts to rest any concerns of going into unsettling territories.
My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer earns an 8/10 for its unique, wholesome approach. An overall score of 7 on My Anime List speaks to the story’s impressive stress on a pure father-daughter dynamic, its wholesomeness, and its method of handling a widening narrative scope.
