In the latest chapter of Fire Force, Hibana was exploring the remains of the burned Altar as she believed that there is an entrance to the underground nether as most Altars has them. She was later joined by Foien and Karim, who helped her find an underground staircase that leads to the Nether just as she predicted. When they went down in, the underground was untouched by the fire. But they were surprised to find things that didn’t line up with the Church’s teachings in the Nether. They also found out that there where eight pillars, which are the same number as the Adella burst human pillars.
They looked around for any clues on the mystery of the human combustion as everything within the Nether was suspicious. As they were still looking for clues, all they could find were books about plants and bugs. Hibana realized that the way the Church brought her up was similar in ways found in one of the books, which led to her deducing that she was produced like crops as they were all given flower names. She then remembered Sister Sumire’s name, which might hold more to the mystery they want to unravel.
When terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo, possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flames. This led to the establishment of a special firefighting department: The Fire Force. Which is always ready to roll on a moments’notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. One of the Fire Force teams is about te get a special addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at rocket speed. Leaving behind the famous “devil’s footprints” and destroying his shoes in the process. The Fire Force then aims to discover the source of these strange powers before the city is turned into ashes.
The upcoming chapters might reveal the mystery behind how the Church brought up its Sisters and if there are any links to the human combustion cases as Sister Simire’s name seems to hold much mysteries with it. Fire force is released on a weekly basis and is usually published on Saturdays by Kodansha comics as serialized in Shounen Magazine weekly. Chapter 200 is scheduled for release on the 14th of December 2019.
