Rivian is an electric vehicle startup which is coming up with its R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV that will be announced at this year’s New York International Auto Show. The event is taking place at Jacob Javits Convention Center from April of 19th to 28th.
During this time the attendees will have a close view of this vehicle. If the company’s booth display is similar to that of 2018, then their product will be the center of the attention. As for the specs goes, Rivian R1T truck and R1S SUV will have a range up to 400 miles per charge.
It is with a quad-motor design enabling 0-60 acceleration in under 3 seconds. Competing with small, portable gas containers that can be carried along on any sort of middle-of-nowhere journey means some serious innovation is in order.
The reservation holders who have a base price of $69,000 and $72,000 for their SUV before all incentives. Moreover, Pre-orders are still open on Rivian’s official website. The production of the vehicle will begin in 2020 in Rivian’s factory located in Normal, Illinois.
