Avengers: End Game ended an 11-year-old long story began when 21 movies came in the MCU, starting with 2008’s Iron Man. Thanos, the mad Titan, may have ended stories of most of the Avengers, but that isn’t the end of things at all. MCU has actively started stating the beginning of new pathways. Though Kevin Feige declined to lay out the slate in advance, he did mention that things will become more public once Spider-Man: Far From Home arrives, which will happen in July. Kevin concluded that this movie marks the end of Phase 3 in MCU and not EndGame. Many of us are expecting individual sequels to Avenger movies such as Black Widow, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, etc. Today I specifically want to talk about Guardians of The Galaxy, Volume 3.
For now, the only thing that Marvel has confirmed is that Phase 4 is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol III, will see director James Gunn on board, again. Disney had removed Gunn on account of his distasteful tweets in the past. Must warn you of heavy EndGame spoilers at this point.
Thanos killed most of the Avengers in the penultimate movie, but the ones who survived his snap managed to reverse it and bring back the obliterated ones. These were members such as Star-Lord, Drax, Mantis and Groot, that reunited with Rocket Raccoon. Now, these are the Guardians of The Galaxy who survived the snap. As you may know the dead Gamora’s past self from 2014 is alive. Gamora may not have met any of the Guardians before and yet she’s in love with Star-Lord.
The markers have to begin with Gamora again, find her and make her fall in love with Star-Lord, all over again. This will exactly form his mission for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. Nebula has also joined the Guardians too, besides Thor. Thor’s inclusion is almost certain. This is all we know so far, James to Thor and Gamora, the update info is a long way from now. More as we have it.
