It was announced about Black Panther stepping down as a member of the team Avengers in the recent issue of comics books titled ‘Avengers’. On the other hand, The recent announcement made by Marvel on the release date of its upcoming sequel of the 2018 American superhero movie Black Panther brings our African descent superhero, Black Panther, into the limelight once again. Marvel has finally announced the release date of its sequel titled ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ on 11th November 2022. He is to be supposedly replaced by some other member of the future Avengers team. So let’s discuss this news further and know what it exactly is. So let’s begin!
Who is Black Panther?
Black Panther is a fictional character in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics during the 1960s. His real name is T’Challa. Black Panther is the active king of a fictional African kingdom named Wakanda. He believes in African rituals and science and is the first hero in the mainstream American comics world of African origin. It was created by writer-director Stan Lee and made its first debut in Fantastic Four issue-52 in 1966.

Black Panther in Avengers?
‘Avengers’ is a team of some of the strongest superheroes on Earth, who work in coordination and save the world. Its famous members include Steve Rogers aka Captain America, Tony Stark aka Iron Man, and Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch, Thor, and many others. It also includes Black Panther as a member ever since its introduction in the 1960s Fantastic Four.

So what led Black Panther quit the most powerful team? Well, recently Black Panther is facing criticism from his own people. He has to fight his people of Wakanda in the fifth issue of a comic series named ‘Black Panther’. He should prove his worth to the people of Wakanda after the recent attacks on the kingdom. And so he has quit the team in issue number 55 titled ‘Avengers: judgment day is coming.
According to the latest issue of Marvel’s Avengers issue-55, Black Panther will quit this team and be replaced by the ‘Heroes Reborn’ character Nighthawk.
Nighthawk
Nighthawk is being speculated as a replacement to Black Panther in Marvel’s next series of avengers. He is Marvel’s version of Batman with mystic powers and abilities that work best in the dark. Nighthawk is a character that has been played by multiple characters such as Kyle Richmond (from squadron sinister), Tilda Johnson, etc. Despite his limited appearances in different issues of marvel comics and the marvel cinematic universe, he can prove his worth in the latest issue of the avengers. He debuted as a supervillain in the 69th issue of avengers in 1969. After this, he was often seen in ‘the defenders’.

His nature towards the members of the avenger team will be a bit suspicious since he is a supervillain turned superhero. Some of his abilities and powers are his super-strength, agility, and durability making him a superb athlete. His suit resembles the suit of Batman, aided by a jet-powered artificial wing system, artificial but sharp claws, laser weapons, and projectile weapons as well. Whether he will be a friend or a for? Nobody knows this, at least for now.
The Black Panther sequel
Ryan Kyle Coogler has written as well as directed Black Panther, a 2018 movie. He is also making its sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ set to be released on 11 November 2022. Moreover, a series is in making with the same name and will be released on disney+. This is the 18th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that stars Chadwick Aaron Boseman in the lead role of superhero Black Panther. Overwhelmed by its success and appreciation, Ryan decided to make a sequel for the film.
Even though the wait for the sequel is finally over, fans will miss the hero in the movie. This is because of the untimely demise of Chadwick Aaron Boseman on 28th August 2020, due to colorectal cancer. He played the lead role of superhero Black Panther in the 2018 movie Black Panther’. Chadwick is the most loved face for the live-action version of T’Challa. Also, most of the crew were unaware of his disease, including the writer-director Ryan. The sequel of the 2018 version of black panther will cover the struggles of our hero with new enemies and his rise in the Wakanda. It will only revolve around what he has left behind as a legacy in the first movie, and, his sister Shuri (played by Letitia Michelle Wright) will be the next leader of Wakanda.
I Hope Black Panther returns in the comic version of avengers so that we can live his character all again.
