The Plot
In a world where the death of the Demon King has paved the way for a new era, a band of demigods emerges as inheritors of the world’s power.
Among them stands a masterful fencer, one who can decipher an adversary’s weakness in a glance; a lightning-swift lancer, breaking sound barriers effortlessly; a cunning wyvern rogue, wielding three weapons simultaneously; an omnipotent wizard, bringing thoughts to life with a thought; and an angelic assassin, who gives instantaneous death to their targets.
With goals to claim the coveted title of the “One True Hero,” these champions start their quests by confronting foes and inadvertently igniting conflicts. Thus, the grand saga to determine the strongest among the peerless begins.
The initial volume of the Ishura manga serves as an introduction to the world, its context, and characters (a tally of at least 15 comes to mind). A political conflict arises between the two kingdoms following the demise of the Great Demon King, leading to the second half of the volume, which plunges into a full-scale war.
We hope the anime adaptation can capture the manga’s full potential and bring us an anime that is rumored to be the next “Attack On Titan.”
