Avenger 160 specifications

Bajaj is a renowned company that has made many amazing bikes, and many of these bikes are iconic in India. One of the main reasons they are so popular in India is because of their affordable price tag. Now, the company is preparing to launch its new bike called Avenger 160 in the Indian Market. Reports suggest that this bike is the replacement of the current generation Avenger 180.

The bike will be coming in two engine options which are the 180cc and 220cc engine. But the BS-VI is coming in 2020 which could make the motorcycles of Baja a little complaint. Because of the old school engines, there might be a problem with Avenger 180 and 220 as it has carburetor-fueled and only two valves which would make it difficult to set up the BS-VI. It will be ideal to combine BS-VI with fuel-injection and a four-valve engine head which is precisely what Bajaj aims to do with the Avenger 160.

The engine of Bajaj Pulsar NS160 will power this bike. This engine is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 160.3cc, twin-spark DTS-i engine. It has a maximum power output of 15.28bhp and a peak torque output of 14.6Nm, which makes it the most powerful bike in its segment.

The current-gen Bajaj Avenger 180 on the other hand is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 180cc engine that has a maximum power output of 15.38bhp and a peak torque output of 13.7Nm. This shows that even if there is a drop in engine capacity, the performance of the bike will remain the same while emitting less pollution and being more fuel efficient. As for Brakes and suspension, it will remain the same as the current-gen Bajaj Avenger. The price of this motorbike will be around Rs. 86,000, and it will release before the end of this year.
