The Good Karma Season 3 will include a plotline on the acid attack. Good Karma is the new series airing on ITV. This medical drama first aired on February 5, 2017. The show is based in a South Indian hospital, it stars Amanda Redman. Amanda plays a doctor disillusioned with life, her character Lydia Fonseca heads for South India hoping to get a redo in life. Other cast mates of The Good Karma Hospital include Amrita Acharia, James Floyd, Neil Morrissey. Although the show says South India, the series is actually shot in Unawatuna in Sri Lanka’s Thiranagama Golden Beach Restaurant and other places in the Galle District of Sri Lanka.
Season 2 of The Good Karma hospital was confirmed in 2017 and it aired from March 2018. Season 3 is all set to return this year. It will be executive produced by Frith Tiplady, Iona Vrolyk
And Will Gould. So far, for two Seasons, 12 episodes in totality have come out. No further details have been confirmed but what we do know is, The Good Karma Hospital will return on Sunday night slot at 9 pm on ITV. The medical drama series is also popular in Australia on BBC UKTV and ABC.
As for the plot, Season 2 ended with Ruby Walker (Amrita Acharia) telling Dr. Gabriel Varma (James Krishna Floyd) about how she needs to work some things out. She then asked him to wait for her. Obviously, Season 3 will focus on the dynamics between Ruby and Gabriel. Additionally, an acid attack storyline is also on cards. Amanda Redman will work with series creator and writer Dan Sefton on this. She herself suffered a burn on her arm as a child. More details are awaited on this.
