Imposters had two good seasons, and people were sure that there would be a third season of the show. But, it wasn’t to be as the show was canceled. The announced about the show’s cancellation was made on June 1, 2018. The final episode of the second season aired on June 7, 2018. So, all of this happened in the span of a few days.
The fans of Imposters were perplexed by the decision regarding the cancellation of the show. But, it is effortless to see why it was canceled when you take a look at the ratings. The second season of the show had an average 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 425,000 viewers. When you compare this to the first season, the percentage is down by 51% and 43%, respectively.
It may seem that there is no possible way for the show to be back; however, a petition has been started to bring back the show. It has already got over 10,000 votes, and I am sure the number will keep on increasing. But, it is not a surety that the petition will bring the show back. All the fans can do is hope that the show is picked up by a streaming giant and the fans will be to enjoy their favorite show once again
The show is a dark comedy series, and it premiered back on February 7, 2017. The show follows a con artist Maddie, who gets involved with relationships with men and women. She leaves them after robbing them of their wealth, and their hearts.

Updated on 8 May 2019:
The show has been officially canceled by Bravo, which has been hard for fans since they have loved the show and its characters. After two seasons, the viewership has dropped, but the loyal fans have been constant. That is why the show is getting a huge uproar after the cancellation from Bravo. Campaigns are running all over social media, and these campaigns have resulted in a positive outcome in favor of fans.
Therefore, we are expecting the same this time as well, because fans are the driving force. There are rumors of Netflix getting down to satisfy the audience by getting the rights of the show, although nothing is official right now. It could be true as well because Netflix is desperate to get the new audience as it is facing so much competition from other streaming services. Also, the show would perform well with Netflix’s worldwide user base, which is lacking in the traditional television broadcast.
