My Hero Academia has been enjoying great success lately, with the manga delivering what is easily one of the best arcs in the series, the fourth season of the anime almost being upon us, and a new movie heading our way in late 2019. A series as huge as My Hero Academia is bound to have a huge fanbase and often there are some jokes that pop up. This time though, a certain joke went a bit too far.

My Hero Academia: Bakugo’s Death?

Recently on Twitter, fans of My Hero Academia started a rumor that Bakugo Katsuki is dead.
Bakugo is one of the biggest characters in the entire series and has even won lots of character popularity polls in Japan.

This joke was started to mess with the anime-onlys and it actually did quite a good job at accomplishing that. Even manga panels were drawn to further this meme and people started believing it even more. If you’re one of those who came across it, and for some reason believed it, know that this is just a meme.

Bakugo Katsuki is not dead. He’s alive and well, and if you’re thinking of dropping the series because of the joke, please don’t. A lot of fans have decided to drop the series because of it and others have expressed their frustration but it’s all a joke. The real story is getting more interesting than ever and personally, I think it’ll get even better with time.
