Hanna Season 2: Renewed Or Cancelled By Amazon?

Hannah owes credit to the British filmmaker David Farr. The English TV show Hanna stars English actress Esme Creed-Miles as the lead character. The other main leads of Hanna are Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos. Joel Kinnaman stars as Hanna’s father Erik while Mireille Enos plays a badass CIA agent Marissa Wiegler. The other cast members being Andy Nyman has a CIA agent, and Joanna Kulig portrays Hanna’s mother.

The premise is that Hanna reunites Marissa and Erik. The series Hanna aired in ending January. The first teaser of Hanna came out in the first week of January. Amazon amazingly excited the show, by releasing a brand new promo during the Super Bowl. This the series premiere date was announced after the football.

Since Hanna was such a great hit, Amazon finally ordered a Season 2. The decision was taken by Amazon in two weeks. Hanna seems to be resonating well with the audiences so much so that Amazon was quick to jump the gun on it. Usually, Netflix or even Amazon for that matter take weeks to months in announcing show renewals.

Amazon also has enlisted Sarah Adina Smith as the director of the first two episodes, and Anders Engström (from Taboo fame) to aid Sarah in the same. We here at OtakuKart believe that Amazon sees multi-season potential with Hanna. Amazon Studios’ co-head of television, Albert Cheng was all praise for the amazing response that Hanna has garnered. The executives at Amazon are thrilled with how it has performed for on the service and with David Farr’s contribution to the series.

Hanna is based on the 2011 movie Saoirse Ronan. The whole Season of Hanna came out on March 29. Given the series just got an update, it is quite early to guess when it would come out with Season 2. But our guess is, it may come around the same time as Season 1 did. More as we have it.
