9-1-1 Season 3: Will The First Responders Have Another Season?

In this post, we are going to talk about 9-1-1 season 3 update, cast, and updates. As we know, the show is currently in its second season. The second season premiered in September 2018, and then it took a midseason break on 26 November 2018. The show is supposed to return in March of 2019. The first ten episodes of the second season are broadcasted, and the rest will be televised when the show returns.

Meanwhile, viewers were trying to find out whether the show will have a third season or not. Unfortunately, the show has not been renewed or canceled as of now. But we can expect news from FOX soon. The show is having an average of 1.5 ratings in the 18-49 demographic, with a whopping average of 6.25 million viewers.

The numbers are beyond expectations and are identical to the first season, with a little decline. Hence, it is expected that the show might be renewed by FOX (new details at the end). Moreover, when will the next season release? We have no renewal, so an official update is still far away. Additionally, the show does not have a consistent track record which could help us predict.

But if the show completes its second season in this year, then it seems hard to return in this year. We saw that the show returned in just five months after the first season. So, there is a possibility that the show might return by the end of the year. Hence, we can expect the next season by the end of 2019, or in early 2020. The main cast of the show is as follows!

Angela Bassett as Athena Grant
Peter Krause as Robert “Bobby” Nash
Oliver Stark as Evan “Buck” Buckley
Aisha Hinds as Henrietta “Hen” Wilson
Kenneth Choi as Howie “Chimney” Han
Rockmond Dunbar as Michael Grant
Connie Britton as Abigail “Abby” Clark

Updated on 26 April 2019:

The show has now finally received a renewal for the third season. Therefore, the fans of the show based on the first responders would be pleased. The renewal came in the last month, which was a relief for the fans. After the renewal came, it looks like the show is supposed to return this year. The first season concluded in March and the second season premiered in September of the same year. Therefore, after the second season concludes in May 2019, we can expect the show to return by the end of this year. However, as the renewal was recently announced, it might be a little delayed, but it looks like 9-1-1 fans would not be missing new season this year!
