Assassin’s Creed 2020 ‘Vikings’ Updates: All You Need To Know
Assassin’s Creed is one of the oldest series, and it had made a lot of great games. But some installments of the series very hated by the critics as well as the fans. But in the recent Assassin’s Creed, the series regained its popularity with Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. So, the fans of the series are speculating when will the new installment come out. However, some info point that the next Assassin’s Creed game will indeed come. The first tease was in a game that was of Ubisoft, which was 2019’s multiplayer shooter The Division 2. Even though these games have a similar publisher and have a little in common but it didn’t stop them from sneaking an Assassin’s Creed clue into The Division 2.
In one of the event within The Division 2 called as Potomac Event Center, the players have discovered a poster that showed a historical figure which is holding the Apple Of Eden from the Assassin’s Creed series. Moreover, the’s poster title was ‘Valhalla’ which shows that Norse religion will be the theme of the next game. This has been taken as a tease by the fans that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be set in the Viking era. Also, Kotaku has backed this and claimed that two well-informed sources had confirmed the Viking setting.
The title of the new game at the moment is unknown, but there are rumors and ideas for what it might be on the internet. It was reported by Kotaku that the Valhalla poster claims that the next game is being developed under the codename Kingdom. Moreover, one rumor on 4chan contended that the name of the next game would be Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok. This has become extremely popular among the gaming community, but it was soon debunked as fake. Even though those fake screenshots give the fans good reason to not trust them but who knows if there is some truth in that post, these rumors do raise some interesting possibilities which said there would be “large scale conquest battles” included in the upcoming title and that co-op gameplay” is returning, and can be used in most side quests and world exploration.”
As for the story, the rumors suggested that the protagonist of the game will be Ragnar Lodbrok who is a historical figure and the game will have locations such as Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Moreover, the rumor said that there would be a lot of exploration with plentiful RPG elements. There is nothing said about the release date, but the ResetEra rumor summary and the backed-up-by-two-sources report from Kotaku agree that the next Assassin’s Creed game will launch in 2020. We might learn more about it in the E3 2019, and I can’t wait for it.
