The Plot of the New Anime
In the thrilling new season of Bakugan, the VESTROIAN galaxy’s six planets, each inhabited by a unique Bakugan species (Avian, Dragon, Insect, Beast, Aquatic, and Dinosaur), constantly engage in unending wars. An “unintended consequence of experimental weaponry” transports these battling creatures to Earth.
Baku-balls pour down on Earth, landing in cities, forests, and oceans, unveiling colossal 10 FEET TALL Bakugan. However, they are warmly welcomed by humanity but that soon turns to apprehension as teenagers form bonds with Bakugan, giving them towering Kaiju proportions. The world is overwhelmed with fear, and an event known as THE CATASTROPHE unfolds.
About the Bakugan Franchise
Bakugan Battle Brawlers, or just Bakugan, is a Japanese-Canadian anime series jointly produced by TMS Entertainment, Dentsu Inc., and Nelvana Limited, with Mitsuo Hashimoto on the director’s chair. Centering on the world of Bakugan creatures and their “battle brawlers,” the franchise was born as a collaboration between Sega Toys and Spin Master.
The franchise expanded with Mechtanium Surge, which, intriguingly, never aired in Japan but found its place on North American television. A parallel manga universe, Baku Tech! Bakugan was published from 2010 to 2014, resulting in a Japan-exclusive anime adaptation.
The saga continued in 2015 when Spin Master unveiled plans to reintroduce Bakugan in a grand relaunch. The Bakugan: Battle Planet emerged as the rebirth and aired in the United States via Cartoon Network and in Canada through Teletoon.
What People Thought of Bakugan Season 1
Bakugan Battle Brawlers, a series often compared to giants like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon, might initially seem like another typical anime series in the world-saving, creature-summoning genre, but if you watch more, you’ll find out why this series is a generational classic.
The series demands much of your time, and if you judge it too early, you might miss out on a great watch. Subtle differences characterize the artistry of the show’s animation. The animation makes the show a better experience. Battles, the primary focus of the series, unfolds effortlessly. Each line, each frame, is strategically created to enhance the viewing experience.
In the world of entertainment, Bakugan has written itself as a childhood classic. Many fans disregard how good of a series it is because of preconceived opinions. Give it a chance, and it might change your mind about the typical trope of heroes and creatures because no one does it better than Bakugan.
