Boku no Hero Academia manga has finally ended its Training exam arc, and I’m glad that it’s over. Overall, I think the arc was okay. It was nothing too special, but not bad either. It had its ups and downs, and there were some good fights towards the end as well.
Now, we’re heading into a new territory where we don’t know what’s going to happen next, and honestly, something a hit more serious looks to be on the way. In the previous chapter, we saw lots of things, but the ones that stood out most was the fact that Monoma was trying to copy Eri’s quirk, which he failed at.
Then, Eri promised to master her power, and so did Deku. At some point, I think Monoma might learn to copy the powers that are accumulated as well, and if that happens, things will get a lot more interesting.
So, let’s talk about the upcoming chapter, that is Boku no Hero Academia Chapter 218. In the next chapter, I think we’ll see some of the most interesting things finally kick off, that is, the plot of the Villains.
They haven’t done much in the last few chapters, and we only saw the sentient Nomu as their last card. We need to see more about them, and I think a full chapter based on them would be simply amazing. We could also see something much more than that, for example, the beginning of new classes, and finding out which class Shinsou actually goes to.
I hope the upcoming arc doesn’t disappoint. Honestly, I liked the Endeavor arc, but arcs before that, like Gentle arc, and after that, the Training arc, were average at best. I hope the next one blows my expectations away.
Boku no Hero Academia Chapter 218 will be out officially on February 25, 2019. The scans for the chapter will be out on February 22, 2019.
