Creed 2 isn’t just some movie, but it has proved to be a perfect sequel to the 1985 Rocky 4 movie. All of us, who were fans of the Rocky franchise hated (disliked) the Rocky 4. We thought it was a stupid portrayal of the end of cold-war eras of the “good vs. evil” story between the two former super-powers. Rocky 4 took childish scripts to another level by the writer-director of the movie, Sylvester Stallone. But there are fans who love Rocky, IV more than they love the first! There are people of both kinds who are more loyal to one of the films actually. But anyway, today we’ll talk about Creed 2, which many think that is a perfect sequel to Rocky IV.
Creed 2, many movie critics feel that it has made the Rocky IV a better version actually. Creed exists because there was an epic first fight between Drago and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in Rocky IV. As you may know, Apollo died in the ring fighting a Russian, and Rocky ended up blaming himself for not stopping the fight in the nick of time and for failing to save his best friend.
Ryan Coolger’s Creed I revealed that Adonis (Michael B. Jordan) was Apollo’s son out of wedlock, but the two never saw each other. Adnois makes Creed blood the sole mission of his life and hence makes Rocky his trainer. At the end of Creed 2, we saw Adonis finally proved himself and earned for himself his father’s surname.
In Creed 2, Adonis faces ghosts of his past as Ivan Drago makes a return along with his son, Viktor (Florian Munteanu). Anyway, with Creed 2 out, all we can think about his Creed 3, release date.
First off, MGM has yet to give a sequel the green light. Given that Creed 2 was only given the green light, two months after Creed was in theatres, we’ll still have to wait for Creed 2. I think MGM will take time with his one, sit it out, think over it before taking action on it. It’s too soon to tell at this point in time.
Creed 2 released on November 21′ 2018 and the movie will be released on DVD on March 5′ 2019. Two more months to go!
Creed 3 could be given a 2020 release date; if it gets a green light, we’re thinking November 2020. But that remains to be seen. We’ll update this page as soon as we have more information on the subject.
