Toyota hit a milestone as they had set sales in the US by selling 215,775 Highlanders in 2017. Will they be able to achieve this feat again? Well, many believe they will do so because of their new Highlander. It had gone through a redesign in the exterior, interior as well as the engine and transmission. This might have put a question to many people, and they would’ve thought it wouldn’t be ready. But, we should not underestimate Toyota because they never stop to surprise us. As for the Specs, Highlander has the 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The V-6 engine comes as standard in all trims except the Highlander LE trim which delivers a 185 HP inline-four. This is weaker but is more efficient because on more proficient Atkinson cycle.
This was made possible because of the port fuel-infusion framework and an upgraded valve-train. It will have 25 more horsepower and an extra 15 lb-ft. In the hybrid model, it will be available, and the V-6 engine might also power it, but it will be, more powerful. When everything is combined the result is 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft. There is no date for Highlander right now, but it might hit the market next year.
Moreover, some speculations say Toyota is planning to release the new Toyota Highlander model by May 2019. There are also a lot of rumors about the price, but it is unknown, we must go back to the previous model’s price. They might range from the base models price of $31,590 to hybrid models at the price of $48,840.
