The animated TV series Age of Wonderbeasts just concluded its second season, and fans are looking forward to seeing what lies ahead of Kipo and the gang. Created by Radford Sechrist, the show made its official debut in January 2020, and Netflix has just confirmed the fate of the show. Here is everything you need to know.
After the second season of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, fans seemed to be pretty confused about the future of the show, and there were some unwelcoming rumors which were hinting towards a potential cancellation. However, we are glad to inform you that such will not be the case, but we do have one bad news as well.
So let’s start with the good news, Netflix has officially renewed Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts for a third season, thereby giving the creators one more chance to tell their story more, however, the imminent third season will be the finale season of the show. In case if you’re wondering whether the show got canceled after season 3, don’t worry as the creative team decided to wrap up with the forthcoming season.
Co-showrunner Bill Wolkoff assured his fans on Twitter that the show wasn’t canceled, and they are fortunate to conclude their story on a positive note with three seasons. His tweet read, ‘We got to tell a full and complete story over three seasons. ‘Can’t wait for you all to see it, it’s a rollercoaster.’
In a previous interview with Digital Spy, Wolkoff revealed that season 3 would continue to explore Kipo has she has become a powerful character without losing her humanity, however, season 3 will dive deep ‘into the anti-mute resentment.’ According to his statement, the anti-mute resentment runs deep, and it’s very dangerous.
Dr. Emilia will be the main antagonist of season 3, and according to the official synopsis, Kipo and the gang will go toe to toe against Emilia to spoil her plans of eliminating mutekind. She has been framing this plan all along to make the surface safe enough for only human habitation, while Kipo is positive about living in a world where humans and mutes co-exist peacefully. To convert that dream into reality, she will have to take on a role that she never imagined she would take.
Age of Wonderbeasts Season 3 Cast, Episode Count, and update
The cast for the upcoming third season includes Karen Fukuhara (Kipo Oak), Sydney Mikayla (Wolf), Coy Stewart (Benson), Deon Cole (Dave), Dee Bradley Baker (Mandu), and others.
