The Pokémon series is finding itself in headlines as a lot of new stuff from the franchise is being announced, with the original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon spin-off games getting a remake for the Nintendo Switch to the expansion pass for Pokémon Sword and Shield, the pocket monsters are on a roll.
As if this wasn’t enough already, it was announced during the Japanese program Oha Suta on January 10 that the new Pokémon movie will be releasing on July 10, and the title of the movie is Pokémon the Movie: Coco.
Pokémon Coco Teaser
The movie will see Ash and Pikachu return to their adventures, as Coco will be the continuation of 2017’s I Choose You! Movie. The film is also traditionally animated, taking a break from last year’s 3DCG animation, with director Tetsuo Yajima who directed Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us returning for the role.
Atsuhiro Tomioka, who is very familiar with writing for the Pokémon series, is on the script. Studio OLM is going to be producing the movie.
Not much about the plot or what the movie is going to be has been announced, but from the trailer, we could see that Ash and Pikachu are going to venture into a jungle where they meet a Tarzan-like character.
