The hit Amazon Prime Video, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was renewed for a third season even before the season second premiered. This show is quite popular as it been nominated for 20 Emmy awards which just shows how popular it really is. The premiere date of the show has been revealed which is 6 December and it will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 3 Plot Details
It won’t be releasing on Wednesday like seasons 1 and 2 of the show, instead, it will be arriving on a Friday. According to TVLine, there will be a total of eight episodes which old us that the showrunners will be back to their old schedule. Moreover, this won’t be the end of the series as Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of the show told The Hollywood Reporter that she had four to five total seasons planned out … and, of course, the show is extremely popular.
As for the cast members, it consists of series regular like Rachel Brosnahan (Midge Maisel), Alex Borstein (Suzie Myerson), Tony Shalhoub (Abe Weissman), Marin Hinkle (Rose Weissman), and Michael Zegen (Joel Maisel). Season 3 will include a few noteworthy guest stars like Sterling K. Brown who will have a small role in the show. But the guest list doesn’t stop there as Stephanie Hsu will also coming too. Moreover, it was reported that Liza Weil — who played Paris Geller in Amy and Dan’s hit ’00s show Gilmore Girls will be playing an unnamed role.
Not a ton of information about season 3 has been made public just yet, but there are some things we do know: At the end of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 2, Midge accepted an offer to open for a musician on a six-month tour. This tour will largely be the subject of season 3, and it’s likely to completely upend Midge’s life — from her relationship with season 2 love interest Benjamin (Zachary Levi) to her family dynamic at home — and take her and Susie as far as Miami, as is revealed in a new exclusive photo from People.
As for the plot, the creators told Variety “Her journey this year that we’ve set out for her … it’s the first time she’s setting out as a road comic, it’s the first time she’s getting paid for this, it’s the first time she’s going to have consistency, and she’s dealing with audiences that aren’t her people.” They further added “That is going to bring its own story twist to it. We’re definitely going to some different places in season 3.”
