All American Season 1 ended back in March, and since then, everyone has been talking about it constantly. The show’s first season has been a huge success, and to me, it seems like it is going to continue for a while at least. In this post, we’ll be discussing everything that we know about All American season 2. So, let’s begin, shall we?
Before we begin, please note this post will contain official spoilers from All American Season 1. If being spoiled is not for you, I suggest that you stop reading the post here. However, if spoilers don’t bother you, we can get started. Also, note that we did not create the spoilers or leaked them. They’re available all over the internet.
As expected, The CW has remained tight-lipped on the future of the show so far. We don’t know whether it’ll come back for a second season or not.
The President of The CW, Mark Pedowitz talked to TV Guide recently, and he said that they are extremely proud of the show, the production quality and the storytelling telling is on par with Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. At this point, there is nothing to do about the show.
He later went on to say that they’ll decide the future of the show in May, and then let everyone know too. It was implied that the show would get a continuation since he was very positive about it, and proud of it too. For now, we don’t know if it’ll actually get a renewal or not.
If the show returns, we expect most of the cast to return. Here’s what the cast for Season 2 could look like:
Daniel Ezra as Spencer
Bre-Z as Coop
Greta Onieogou as Leila Keating
Samantha Logan as Olivia Baker
Cody Christian as Asher Adams
Taye Diggs as Billy Baker
Michael Evans Behling as Jordan Baker
Karimah Westbrook as Grace James
Monet Mazur as Laura Fine-Baker
Jalyn Hall as Dillon James
Chelsea Tavares as Patience
Brent Jennings as Willy Baker
Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Tyrone Morris
Updated on 4 May 2019:
The show has been renewed, and it looks like all the prayers worked. When The CW renewed 10 of its shows and there was no mentioning of All American, fans were afraid whether this indicates a cancellation. However, if they wanted to cancel, they could have announced it at the same time.
Nonetheless, the show got renewal a couple of weeks ago, and we are now happy that we will get answers of the cliffhangers fro the first season. Also, the first season of All American is now on Netflix, so it will get more exposure and new viewers. Hence, the second season will have bigger fanbase, and I hope the story still stays as interesting as it has been.
