Norsemen is a Norwegian TV series that focuses on a group of Vikings who live in the village of Norheim around the year 790. The series originally premiered in Norway under the name Vikingane (Vikings) on NRK1 in October 2016. The show is produced for by Viafilm for NRK. Norsemen has been written and directed by Jon Iver Helgaker and Jonas Torgersen.
It is recorded in the village of Avaldsnes in Karmøy municipality, Rogaland, Norway. The show is recorded simultaneously in both Norwegian and English versions. The English version of the series was put up on Netflix in August 2017 under the name Norsemen. The second season was available in October 2018. Norsemen season two was filmed in early 2017.
For those who are worried about the third season then let me bring some good news. The show was already renewed for season 3 and its NRK premiere in Norway took place earlier this year. The series is expected to air in the United States in early 2020.
