Stardew Valley is a game that is Developed By ConcernedApe and was published by Chucklefish Games. I say was because ConcernedApe recently revealed that the producer of the game Chucklefish dropping as game’s producer on Nintendo Switch. This means that ConcernedApe will self-publishing Stardew Valley on all platforms except mobile going forward. The news was revealed on Barone’s official Twitter account.
In the tweets, he explains how this changes things. He said “It just means that I have full responsibility for the game on Switch… before today, Chucklefish handled the business/marketing side of putting my game onto the Switch, now I will handle that in addition to being the developer of the game. otherwise, everything is the same” Moreover, one of the fans asked him about whether there will be a physical copy of the game to which he replied that he won’t promise anything now but he will do his best.
The Vita user will be getting an update for the game which will address some bug fixes but that would be it as technical limitations of vita coupled with the way Stardew’s code which was rewritten for 1.3. If you are worried about the affecting console ports of the game, there isn’t anything to be worried about as Porting work on other platforms is handled by Sickhead Games, and Barone says he’s still working with that studio.
ConcernedApe Says The New Update Will Be Coming Soon
This decision only affects the Nintendo Switch version of Stardew Valley right now.
One of the fans said whether the cheats will be returning. To which he replied by saying that id cheat causing crashes in certain situations but there is a chance for them to return. Barone hasn’t revealed details about the game because he’s “not ready to deal with the hype yet”. But we will most likely be learning more about that game in the coming months.
