The Norwegian Netflix Original drama series, Ragnarok, is already appearing as one of the most popular fantasy drama coming from Norway. The first season was released this year and has already got a renewal for a second season. Created by Adam Price and directed by Mogens Hagedorn. The web series had been one of the five most popular series on Netflix UK in February, and its future relies totally on its success with the spectators.
The series is produced by Stine Meldgaard Madsen, with Adam Price, Meta Louise and Foldager Sørensen serving as the executive producers, under the Danish production house of SAM Productions. Ragnarok Season 2 update
Ragnarok Season 2 will be released on Netflix around February 2021. A ton of effort has been put into the production of Ragnarok season 1; in order to spread the magic again, the makers of the show require an enormous amount of time to produce a second season. The first season premiered on January 31, 2020, and comprised of 6 episodes. The upcoming season is said to have six episodes as well.
Update 1
The first season of Ragnarok was released in January 2020 on Netflix and since then fans are asking for a second season, but Netflix did not provide any update on the second season. Considering the success of the first season of Ragnarok, it is expected to get a second season, although the show has not been renewed for a second season as of now.
Once renewed, Ragnarok will start filming for the second season and will go into productions afterward. However, ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic is sure to delay the filming and production of Ragnarok, we will not be getting Ragnarok Season 2 anytime soon considering all the production houses and studious have stopped the production and filming of their said shows, and Ragnarok will be no different.
Originally, if renewed, Ragnarok was expected to release in January to March 2021, but considering the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, it might be delayed to Fall 2021.

Ragnarok Season 2 Cast
The first season stars David Stakston as Magne Seier, Jonas Strand Gravli as Laurits Seier, playing the role of Magne’s brother, Theresa Frostad Eggesbø as Saxa, Herman Tømmeraas as Fjor, Emma Bones as Gry, portrayed as Magne’s and Fjor’s love interest, Henriette Steenstrup as Turid Seier, playing the mother of Magne and Laurits, Gísli Örn Garðarsson as Vidar and Synnøve Macody Lund as Ran, acting as the principal of the high school.
The series is supported by a wonderful supporting cast including, Ylva Bjørkaas Thedin as Isolde, Odd-Magnus Williamson as Erik, Bjørn Sundquist as Wotan and Eli Anne Linnestad as Wenche. At the very ending of Ragnarok Season 1, we had witnessed Magne fighting the giant Vidar, who was the leader of the Jutul family. In the upcoming season, Magne might try to overthrow the remaining family members of the Jutul’s. Magne, as well as the other characters, are expected to gain powers and become stronger.
Magne’s brother, Laurits, might become Loki, the God Of Mischief, in the upcoming season and might create more chaos as he would serve as a giant in the guise of God. Moreover, we may witness more number of Gods and Giants in the second season.
