Game of Thrones needs no introduction really. The show is everything iconic and legendary. Season 8 of Game of Thrones arrived on HBO on April 14, 2019, and has stolen put hearts. Episode 3, “The Long Night” aired last Sunday on HBO, it was the longest shot episode in TV history, and it beat the record of Lord of The Rings’ “Helm’s Deep Battle” too.
Season 8 has three remaining episodes remaining so far, to be aired each Sunday. While Season 8 was the shortest of all seasons, the individual episode counts were lengthy too. With Season 8 we’ll bid goodbye to Game of Thrones forever. Spin-offs of Game of Thrones are already in place; there’s active work going on by individual people including Bryan Cogman who’s spin-off we hear was canceled.
Season 8 of Game of Thrones is heading to HBO later this year; it’s going to be available on both 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray. This development will take place in the latter part of 2019. HBO, for now, is preparing for Game of Thrones: The Complete Eighth Season for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray.
Amazon’s has also listed Game of Thrones in its 4k list. It states that the Ultra HD release will be a SteelBook. The 4K Blu-ray SteelBook is also listed on Best Buy, but there’s no mention if the packages will differ or not.
Besides Season 8, we’ll also see a Complete Collector’s Set that includes all eight seasons in the works for Blu-ray. Unfortunately, we do not have exact updates for these.
