As reported earlier, Ubisoft will be working a bit extra hard throughout Year 5, and thus, a lot of new updates and fixes are imminent, and with the reveal of the official teaser of Operation Steel Wave, fans can’t wait to have the official release.

A lot of new rumors and speculations have surfaced online, and we have gathered all the recent updates and information regarding Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Operation Steel Wave, so here is everything you need to know.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Operation Steel Wave Will Introduce New Operators:

According to the latest rumors and leaks, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Operation Steel Wave will introduce new operators namely Melusi and Ace. The new operators belong from Norweigh and South Africa and will be available post-second update of 2020.

The rumors suggest that Melusi will be a defensive operator while Ace will be the offensive one. According to several leaks from forums, it seems that Melusi will have a weapon that will help to reduce the speed to the approaching enemy, and she might carry a pyramid-shaped device that will slow down the enemies, and the name of the device could be ‘Banshee.’

Not much is known about Ace, however, according to Ubisoft’s files, Ace will carry the “S.E.L.M.A.” launcher, a new breaching weapon with immense power.

New Reworked Map

Like other refreshes, this will be no different, and Ubisoft will be bringing a lot of reworks, and improvements over the existing gameplays, and the visual quality. According to the latest updates, in Operation Steel Wave, the developers will revamp the ‘House’ and will aim to make it much better than its current condition.

The map has become an important part of the game, however, due to its poor design the map had to be removed from Ranked Play, and the developers will aim to resolve the issue with a new rework of it. According to rumors, the size of the map will be increased, and they will work on the aesthetics of different rooms to make it a more attractive well-finished look. This new reworked map will be free for all users and will not require the Year 5 pass.

New Ping System

According to the latest updates, Ubisoft will be introducing Ping 2.0 system in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, however, will be adding its own touch to it. The new system will provide more specifics on the map around different gadgets, thereby helping the players to a great extent.

According to the developers, the Ping 2.0 is a huge improvement on the current system, and players will now be able to share both nature and the positioning of the gadgets deployed by enemies or team members in the playing area. Players will be able to use the system throughout the game, which means during the preparation phase, and the ‘support phase’ after death.
